  17.         Magneto12 39.1ß (6.5.93)  -- Fixed-width font designed for DBLPAL

  20.     ABSTRACT
  21.         I fairly recently upgraded from my good ol' A500 and bought myself an
  22.         A4000. :-) 'Twas very nice indeed to be able to use a 720x560 display
  23.         in "DBLPAL:High Res No Flicker" (the name is IMHO a misnomer -- it
  24.         DOES flicker - why can't I have 720x560 with MULTISCAN:Productivity?),
  25.         but the screen font looked AWFUL -- my previous 8x8 font became dis-
  26.         torted and was barely readable. :-( I have never fancied the Topaz/11
  27.         font and, besides, I wanted to use a proportional font for my screen
  28.         menus and icons -- so after a while I decided to make my own fonts.

  30.         Here they are: Magneto/12 and Titanium/12 -- especially designed for
  31.         use with screen modes like "DBLPAL:High Res No Flicker". The design
  32.         of the two fonts is identical except Magneto is fixed-width, Titanium
  33.         proportional.

  35.         The fonts were also designed for the Latin-1 2 charset (ISO-8859-1),
  36.         but I have included characters for the IBM-PC charset (CodePage 865)
  37.         in the range 0x01-0x1F and 0x80-0xA0 -- the latter are subject to
  38.         change and I might decide to release a separate fixed-width font that
  39.         handles the full CodePage 865 charset (including graphic characters)
  40.         for those of you out there who has the need for such a feature (this
  41.         is especially true for people on e.g. FidoNet). It depends, however,
  42.         on the amount of feed-back I get...
